Turning Curious Ideas into Interactive Experience
Bikeshop Agency partners with exhibit designers to bring hands-on, playful museum concepts to life through custom electronics, AV, and Interactive systems.
What Bikeshop Agency Does
We design and build custom interactive experiences for children’s museums. Working alongside exhibit designers, we take creative concepts—sometimes still a little fuzzy—and turn them into reliable, playful, real-world installations using custom electronics, sensors, lighting, audio, and software.
If your exhibit needs to sense, respond, light up, make sound, or behave in a way that doesn’t exist off the shelf, that’s where Bikeshop Agency fits in.
Bikeshop Agency works as the interactive and AV partner within larger exhibit teams. I collaborate closely with exhibit designers, fabricators, and museum staff—focusing on the electronics, software, and systems that make experiences come alive.
You bring the story, spatial design, and creative vision.
I bring the technical translation, prototyping, and execution.
How We Partner
Our Expertise
Translating creative concepts into working interactive systems
Designing and building custom electronics
Creating responsive lighting and LED environments
Integrating audio, video, and physical interaction
Prototyping, testing, and refining for real-world use by kids
Every project is different. The common thread is making technology feels invisible, intuitive, and fun
The Tools Behind the Magic
We work across a wide range of interactive technologies, choosing tools based on the experience—not the other way around.
This often includes:
Microcontrollers and custom electronics
Sensors (motion, touch, proximity, environmental)
LED systems and dynamic lighting control
Audio and video systems for exhibits
Custom software and real-time interaction logic
The goal is always the same: make the experience feel effortless and inviting for kids.

Not a bike shop
In the summer our bikes are parked near in the front window of our office, and people often poke their head in the door to ask if we’re a bike shop.
We are not.
