Our Team
Philip Van Drunen
Phil builds interactive installations for museums and public spaces — the kind where visitors touch, play, and walk away with a story. Working at the intersection of art and technology, he partners with artists and designers to provide the interactive electronic backbone: custom Arduino and Raspberry Pi programming, LED systems, sensors, AV integration, and anything else that makes a space feel alive.
With 20 years in web and video production, Phil brought those skills together into a new frontier when Bikeshop Agency renovated the Entry Tree at the Children's Museum of Denver in 2019. Since then, his work has grown in scale and ambition — installations at The New Children’s Museum in San Diego, Where Water Flows Uphill at the Greeley Colorado LINC Library, and most recently Wellspring at Conner Prairie in Fishers, Indiana. He's currently building an exhibit for the Children's Museum of Northern Colorado in Loveland, Colorado.
Phil holds a Bachelor's in Entertainment Business and an Associate's in Film and Video Production. He's been based in Colorado since 2008.
When he's not making things for museums, he's making more things, gaming on his Commodore 64, or dusting off one of his many remote control flying things.
